Visual art

Sarah gained a Masters Degree (with Distinction) in Sequential Design and Illustration at the University of Brighton in 2006. For an exhibition of graduating students she created an installation entitled 'Disturbing the Dust' – a biographical narrative exploring the creative potential of linking personal and social history through parallel interpretations.

Sarah is now exploring this theme further through her studies for a practice-based post-graduate doctoral research degree at The University of Brighton. Her practical work will explore and expand upon the themes of resonance, memory and narrative, within a historical context. Her thesis will be a critical, semiological analysis of narrative in relation to form, and its potential as a medium for dissemination, entitled: Fugitive Tales from the Edge of Memory: A visual interpretation of female narratives, 1900-1939
